In honor of Veteran’s Day, the CALL Community Service Committee will once again be collecting cash and in-kind donations to benefit local veterans’ charities. Our cash donation will support the work of Honor Flight Chicago, an organization whose mission is to honor our World War II veterans by arranging for them to visit the WWII memorial in Washington D.C.

Our in-kind collection is on behalf of A Safe Haven. A Safe Haven provides homeless veterans with services to assist them in transitioning from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose. Services include education, job training, behavioral health programs, as well as assistance in locating transitional and permanent housing solutions. Support A Safe Haven by donating the following items:
• new twin bedding sets (preferably white)
• new pillows and pillowcases
• new towels and washcloths
• toiletries (including shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)
