International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans – Information/Research Specialist

The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans has an immediate opening for a full-time Information/Research Specialist. As a member of the information specialist team, your duties will include: researching and responding to questions on employee benefit topics from individual association members using Information Center/Library and online resources, tracking legislation and regulations, selecting timely and relevant news items for a daily e-newsletter and analyzing and summarizing benefits information to post on our website. This role is instrumental in generating content to fulfill the organization’s mission to provide objective, solution-oriented education, research and information to the employee benefits community.

 

Three to four years of experience in a relevant special library/information center is required. The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in library and information studies. Knowledge of employee benefits or human resources is a plus. The candidate should enjoy being a subject matter expert, be detail-oriented and have excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills. In addition, the position demands strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. The job encompasses a variety of tasks, so it requires good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
