Research & Information Services Consultant


Position Description:

As part of the team, we will rely on you to work closely with other project team members to support client engagements that leverage skills, such as, the organization and analysis of data, knowledge management and database maintenance and an understanding of the legal content needed to support a modern law library.

Advanced skills and expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint will be essential to the development and implementation of identified opportunities in support of our clients.



Provide strategic guidance and industry perspective about law library collections, functions, and key contracts to clients

Analyze, organize, and synthesize data to solve complex problems, conduct financial analysis, and create client-ready deliverables

In a short time, to serve as subject matter expert by providing expertise on law library resources, operations, and trends

Assist with knowledge management through tracking and aggregating industry information from various sources


Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required

0-3 years of experience in law libraries / research departments in law

MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited institution

Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database creation, required

Relevant experience in the legal industry generally, or in a law library, information services, and/or data-based consulting fields more specifically, highly desirable

Vendor experience/familiarity with legal research products (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.) highly desirable
