Director of Library Acquisitions and Analytics

Position Description
Under the general supervision of the Executive Law Librarian, develops Sierra Acquisitions Module in conjunction with coordinating policies and procedures for the acquisitions process. Establishes short and long-term goals and objectives for acquisitions as part of the collection development team.  Formulates strategies and policies for collection of library analytics and metrics.  Manages collection of analytics for performance management.  Prepares statistical, financial and analytical reports for Library Administration.  Monitors expenditure and fund allocation for all collections and programs.  Assists in the annual preparation and justification of the library’s budget request.  Trains and supervises accounting and payroll employees engaged in processing and reporting activities for the Library’s Resource Development and Outreach Program.  Oversees records management for the law library.


  • Graduation with a Master’s Degree in Library Science and/or Information Science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association. (Must provide original college/university transcript at time of interview)*
  • Three (3) years of full-time work experience in Technical Services in a law library is required
  • Work experience utilizing Sierra Acquisitions Module is required
  • Supervisory level experience in a library is required
