Welcome to the new CALL website!

The new CALL website is now live! As you can see, we’ve been posting content here for quite a while — but today (December 14) is the day we are officially cutting over from the previous website at allnet.org to our new website.

What’s new?

  1. New Blog. CALL now uses WordPress to organize our website. Check the front page of the site for regular updates and information. There’s even an RSS feed you can subscribe to in order to receive instant updates: http://new.chicagolawlib.org/?feed=rss2.
  2. New Navigation. We’ve simplified the navigation with new (and fewer) drop-down menus so you can find what you need easily and quickly.
  3. New Calendar. Instantly see information about upcoming CALL events right on the front page.

Please bookmark this site. At some point in early 2012, we will set up a redirect so that anyone typing in the address of the old website will be forwarded to the new website instead.

Also note that members-only materials (password-protected) are still housed on the old website, but they can be accessed through this website.

If you have any questions or comments about the new site, or can’t find something you’re looking for, please feel free to contact the co-chairs of the Internet Committee, Gwen Gregory (8Gregory@jmls.edu) or Sharon L. Nelson (slnelson@niu.edu).

Thank you very much to the entire Internet Committee (2010-11 and 2011-12) for all of their work to set up the new website. Special thanks to Helen King-Desai for laying the groundwork for the new site, to Sarah Glassmeyer for installing WordPress, and to Debbie Ginsberg for migrating the files from the old site to the new site and for her technical expertise.
