CALL Bulletin #224, Summer 2012

The Summer 2012 issue of the CALL Bulletin is now available at CALL Bulletin #224 Summer 2012!

This is the last issue for the 2011-2012 year.  Congratulations to all of the contributors this year for making the Bulletin a truly great benefit for our membership.

This issue announces the retirement of Tom Keefe as co-editor of the Bulletin.  Kevin McClure from the IIT Chicago-Kent Law Library will take his place over the summer.

Also in this issue is a report of the activities and recommendations of the Call Bulletin Special Committee, as well as reports from Maribel Nash on the ABA Tech Show and Clare Gaynor Willis on CALL’s Half-Day Institute on Technology.  In addition, this issue has a short series focusing on the changes in technical services librarianship.  Betty Roeske gives us a retrospective on technical services through the decades, while JoAnn Hounshell describes why she does not miss those earlier days.  Sarah Lin shows us how the technical services department at her law firm has evolved and Lyonette Louis-Jacques describes how technical services law librarians are using new technologies.

Enjoy!

Tom Keefe and Margaret Schilt, Co-editors

P.S. I would like to add a note of gratitude to Tom for his creative and faithful service in making the Bulletin the excellent publication it is.  The Bulletin has reflected his expertise, initiative and hard work for the past three years.  Thanks, Tom! Margaret Schilt
