Candi Smith, Litigation Support Project Manager, Winston & Strawn LLP
Candi Smith has over 20 years of experience and is currently a Litigation Support (eDiscovery) Project Manager for Winston & Strawn. Starting as an I.T. person with O’Melveny & Myers, she then moved into Litigation Support for firms Latham & Watkins and Sheppard Mullin. Also, she has worked as a Project Manager with ACT Litigation Services (vendor). She is the primary contact for case team attorneys, paralegals and vendors in all litigation matters in the Los Angeles office, as well as provides cross office support. She provides consulting to litigation teams on the entire EDRM. In previous years, Candi has been called to act as trial support and to assist attorneys with opening/closing presentations. Candi holds a Paralegal certificate from the UCLA extension program. Candi was an ILTA Steering committee member since 2013-2015, and served on the ILTA Information Management Content Coordinating team in 2016.
Derek Boor, Supervisor Litigation Support, Dentons US LLP
Derek Boor has provided service at Dentons US LLP for 16 years in Litigation Support. First, starting as a data analyst and eventually moving into a Litigation Support Supervisor role. In his current role, he has oversaw a group of individuals nationwide, in Dentons US LLP offices located in Chicago, Kansas City and New York. Derek has managed projects ranging from document reviews of millions of documents to implementation of new technology across the firm. Derek has supported and had involvement in 80 remote locations across the US for arbitrations, meditations and trials.
